Sept. 2017: Sales partnership with EGIDE

The French company EGIDE has entred into a sales partnership with GIDS. Starting from September 2017, we are sales representative of Egide in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Egide manufacture high-end hermetic packages for advanced applications in opto-electronics, space, defence, telecommunications, aeronautics and medicine.

DIRC2017: Workshop on fast Cherenkov detectors

We will participate together with our partner Photek in this workshop in Gießen. The main topics are photon detection, DIRC design and DAQ. Photek will present its latest developments in the domain of Cherenkov photon detectors.

Change of Company Headquarters to Mannheim (Germany). This is a good location in Germany for combined sales activity in Austria, Germany, France and Switzerland. For example it is possible to reach the Paris East within 3:10 hours by TGV and ICE and it is possible to reach Frankfurt Airport within 0:30 hours.

Photek launch the new brand Velocitas logofor a range of instrumentation and components uniquely designed for velocity map imaging and other advanced research applications. Velocitas VMI builds on the strength of the parent organisation, Photek Ltd, with our expertise in photon and particle detectors, cameras and specialist electronics. Through successful collaborative projects with international research institutions, we have been able to develop our bespoke ion imaging apparatus and complementary technology that are now collectively housed under the new Velocitas VMI brand.
