The GIDS GmbH, German Image Detector Systems is based in Mannheim, Germany and was founded in 2012. It specializes on the development and distribution of optical, electro-optical components and systems for customers worldwide.

Our web presentation is structured along the various product groups.

Under GIDS we showcase our MCPs as well as the MCP-based detectors. Furthermore we present the peripheral products and services, namely phosphor coatings and fiberoptic couplings onto CCD / CMOS imagers.

In the Photek section you will find the products of the renowned manufacturer of image intensifiers and similar, MCP-based detectors. Here you can also find Photek’s high-quality electronics products, such as power supplies and gating modules.

The section IR highlights the IR-lenses, cameras and multi-channel systems. These products cover the entire IR spectral range
(SWIR, MWIR and LWIR). These products are made by RP Optical Lab.

Finally the menu point WiDy shows the image sensors and cameras from New Imaging Technologies (NIT) for the VIS and SWIR spectral ranges. Their special feature is the logarithmic sensitivity giving them a huge dynamic range.
